I ordered this toy over the Fisher Price and other crib pianos because it looked in the picture like it was totally encased in fabric. It turns out it is not--it has a hard plastic back like the others. I am overall pleased with the toy. The piano sounds are good, and my 8-month-old daughter likes the puppy face a lot. However, the thought of using it as a kicking piano tied to the crib without some sort of protection is ludicrous.
