We just received this mattress yesterday, and wanted to have it ready to go into the crib straight away. The firmness and the padding were exactly as described here, which was perfect. What wasn't perfect was the binding around the edges. On 2 sides, the binding was poorly sewn, causing the cloth to come apart, threads to come loose, and frayed edges.
We're exchanging this for another of the same mattress, which will hopefully be better. It IS a good mattress, but the company needs to pay attention to its quality control.
