American Baby Company 100% Cotton Jersey Knit Crib Sheet - White

Based on the Amazon reviews, I ordered two of these fitted Jersey crib sheets for my grandson's crib. I purchased the red sheets which coordinated well with his room's decor. That color is a clear, primary red - I think it would coordinate well with fireman themed rooms, too. It is a really beautiful, true red and is not as dull or dark as it appears in the listing.

However, I must say I was disappointed in the quality of the crib sheet, particularly the construction. The fabric weight is on the light side; most jersey sheets I have owned or given as gifts are more sturdy than this item appears to be. Were it being used in sheets for regular beds instead of cribs, I doubt it would last for more than a year of washing and drying.

The corner seams will all need to be reinforced prior to use;otherwise, it is highly likely they will tear open when the sheet is put on a crib mattress. The elastic is not encased in jersey pocket or a bias tape casing as it would be on a higher quality item. Instead, the elastic has been zigzagged directly onto the back side of the sheet as is often done on lower quality items.
